Chiffon Petals and Numb Lips

Is there anything more astonishingly glorious than a poppy? A most miraculous flower. For all it's intoxicating qualities, associations with internal sleep and remembrance...I find it one of the happiest flowers of all. But then maybe that's the point. After blowing them open you will find your lips go numb. Enjoy the view.

Cocktails and Shopping..What's better than that?

Hello gang. How are you? Things are heating up around here. I am super excited about this fun event I am involved with on February 8th at Thistle and Colver. If you are in town please RSVP and join us.  I have a big  install going on again (yay!) the night before so my eyes may be popping out of my skull by the time the party starts....but it's all good. On another note my first ceramics came out of the kilm this week! Still need to think about them but I can't lie I'm pretty excited about it. Also anyone in town and want to come over for a terrarium workshop? The first in what I hope to be other fun events we are planning this year. Be back soon xo

Formal Affair

There's nothing like seeing the fruits of your labor, all aglow and in the setting they were made for. Doesn't this couple look like they are from another era? Maybe it's the venue, that gorgeous dress and dapper tux...I dunno but it seems like another time and place. The best part they were the most down to earth and lovely people. Much love and congratulations to Julie and Michael. xo

Downton Abbey Florals

Are we noting all the fussy florals in Downton Abbey? Lots of silver trumpet vases and compotes.  Ferns and palms galore. I'm drooling over the set design with truly inspiring color palettes. And of course Maggie Smith is brillant. Obsessed yet?

Clay

Hello folks. How was your New Year? We rang it in with friends, popcorn and bubbly. It was perfection. Since then I've been drudging along on boring but necessary business stuff. I do have to tell you that I've found a new passion. Not to replace flowers (bite your tongue!) but it's all I think of lately. I finally signed up for a ceramics class. I am terrible but I am obsessed. And then people keep telling me to tweet. Now that's just insanity. But then the truth is I can't because I am too busy freakin' pinning! There are too many distractions in the world.
